Structural Concrete Superintendent

Position Overview:
The Structural Concrete Superintendent oversees all on-site activities for structural concrete projects, ensuring high-quality execution from foundation to finishing. This role is responsible for managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strict adherence to schedules, budgets, safety, and project specifications. Ideal candidates bring hands-on expertise in structural concrete, block, and steel stud framing construction, with a focus on precision, durability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily on-site operations for structural concrete, block, and steel stud framing projects across commercial, residential, hospitality, and select industrial builds.

Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries to maintain workflow efficiency and meet project milestones.

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, quality standards, and design specifications.

Review project drawings, plans, and concrete placement schedules to prioritize and sequence construction activities.

Conduct inspections of formwork, rebar placement, concrete pours, finishing, and curing to ensure structural integrity.

Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and budgets.

Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation for inspections, safety compliance, and material usage.

Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, engineers, architects, and inspectors.

Mentor field staff, promoting teamwork, accountability, and best practices in structural concrete construction.

Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, commissioning, and final inspections.
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent or lead field supervisor in structural concrete projects.

Deep knowledge of concrete construction techniques, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, and curing processes.

Experience with block work and steel stud framing is a plus.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.

Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.) is preferred.
