Structural Concrete Superintendent

Location: Florida Multiple Locations
Reports To: Project Manager 
Employment Type: Full-Time 

 

Position Overview:
The Structural Concrete Superintendent oversees all on-site activities for structural concrete projects, ensuring high-quality execution from foundation to finishing. This role is responsible for managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strict adherence to schedules, budgets, safety, and project specifications. Ideal candidates bring hands-on expertise in structural concrete, block, and steel stud framing construction, with a focus on precision, durability, and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily on-site operations for structural concrete, block, and steel stud framing projects across commercial, residential, hospitality, and select industrial builds.

  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries to maintain workflow efficiency and meet project milestones.

  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, quality standards, and design specifications.

  • Review project drawings, plans, and concrete placement schedules to prioritize and sequence construction activities.

  • Conduct inspections of formwork, rebar placement, concrete pours, finishing, and curing to ensure structural integrity.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and budgets.

  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation for inspections, safety compliance, and material usage.

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, engineers, architects, and inspectors.

  • Mentor field staff, promoting teamwork, accountability, and best practices in structural concrete construction.

  • Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, commissioning, and final inspections.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent or lead field supervisor in structural concrete projects.

  • Deep knowledge of concrete construction techniques, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, and curing processes.

  • Experience with block work and steel stud framing is a plus.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.

  • Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.) is preferred.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and project efficiency.
