Steel Stud Framing
Superintendent

Location: Florida Multiple Locations
Reports To: Project Manager 
Employment Type: Full-Time 

 

Position Overview:
The Steel Stud Framing Superintendent oversees all on-site steel stud framing operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires hands-on expertise in steel framing, strong leadership, and effective field management to coordinate crews and subcontractors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily on-site steel stud framing operations across commercial, residential, and hospitality projects.

  • Coordinate foremen, tradesmen, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship.

  • Review project drawings and specifications to plan crew activities and anticipate challenges.

  • Ensure proper installation of steel stud framing systems, including walls, partitions, and ceiling structures.

  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant job site.

  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure work aligns with design specifications and company standards.

  • Track progress, document field activities, and report updates to project management.

  • Mentor and manage crews, promoting productivity, collaboration, and adherence to best practices.

  • Identify and resolve on-site issues to maintain project timelines and quality.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in steel stud framing or related structural framing work.

  • Strong technical knowledge of steel stud framing systems and installation techniques.

  • Proven leadership skills with ability to manage crews effectively.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control, and industry best practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
