Masonry Superintendent

Location: Florida Multiple Locations
Reports To: Project Manager / Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time 

 

Position Overview:
The Masonry Superintendent oversees all on-site masonry operations, including block, brick, stone, and other masonry work, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of masonry techniques, excellent leadership, and hands-on field management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily on-site masonry operations across commercial, residential, and hospitality projects.

  • Coordinate foremen, masons, and laborers to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality workmanship.

  • Review project drawings and specifications to guide crew activities and anticipate challenges.

  • Plan manpower, material, and equipment needs for each phase of masonry construction.

  • Conduct quality inspections of masonry work, ensuring compliance with design and company standards.

  • Enforce safety regulations, maintaining a clean and compliant job site.

  • Track progress, document field activities, and report updates to project management.

  • Mentor and manage masonry crews, promoting collaboration, accountability, and productivity.

  • Resolve on-site issues or delays to maintain project schedules and quality.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in masonry construction.

  • Strong technical knowledge of block, brick, stone, and other masonry techniques.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage crews effectively.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and industry best practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
